Craftsmanship. These are the qualities that make a Benelli the shogun
experienced shooters want to own. To this constantly growing number of people,
only a Benelli delivers "performance worth the price."
Benelli's product quality and precision are assured by the use of automated manufacturing processed that meet 21st Century standards and technologies. Recognition of this level of excellence is demonstrated by meeting international manufacturing standards and receipt of the prestigious ISO 9001 Certification acknowledging the company's accomplishments.
Benelli firearms are produced in one of the world's most modern design, engineering and manufacturing facilities. The company and it products are a model for business leadership that successfully melds and "old world" tradition of craftsmanship with "new world" designs, materials and technologies. A comment heard around the world by sportsman and official agencies is that the Benelli shotgun is performance made simple... it is performance you can depend on.
To be awarded ISO 9001 Certification is recognition of exceptional skills, process and
Every step in the Benelli shotgun manufacturing process is subject to quality control testing. To meet hardness standards for stressed metal components, the latest in vacuum heat treating is used
Computer-controlled robotics select fixtures and tooling to machine parts. Tool wear is constantly monitored and cutting adjustments are automatically made throughout the manufacturing process to ensure meeting precise tolerances to within thousandths of and inch of the design specification.Feature Benelli shotgun share:
Montefeltro rotating bolt inertia recoil system.
Clearly marked and easily operated trigger guard safety bottom; easily reversible for left-hand operation.
Hammer-forged nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy barrels.
interchangeable vent rib barrels with red, sight-gathering front bar sight.
tubular magazine with 2-shell limiter plug.
Free, shell carrier allows magazine loading with a round in the chamber.
Anti-jam shell carrier; shotgun will fire and cycle if a shell is on the carrier.
Chambered round can be removed without emptying the magazine - great safety feature.

Performance and value worth the prices.
The exceptional performance and reliability of all Benelli semi-automatic shotguns centers around its inertia recoil operating system. Known ad the Montefeltro rotating bolt system, it is so simple that it requires only 7 parts to function. It's a system so reliable and fast, that multiple individual shots can be fired in rapid succession. In fact, a Benelli was used to establish the record for breaking 9 hand-thrown clay targets in just 2.3 seconds.
Operation centers around the locking bolt head, bolt body and spring between
them. When a round is fired, the bolt spring is compressed and inertia overcomes
the weight of the bolt body and recoil begins. Forward inertia pushed the bolt
body forward the backward gradually compressing the bolt spring moving the
locking bolt forward to rotate and unlock. Once the locking bolt lugs are clear
of the chamber, the expended shell is extracted and the bolt body, spring and
locking bolt move fully backward. This motion ejects the spent shell, re-cocks
the mechanism and while open, allows a shell from the magazine to be placed over
the shell carrier. The carrier lifts the loader shell into line for the
returning bolt assembly to insert and lock a loaded shell in the chamber. The
cycle described takes only fractions of a second to happen. That's fast!
The reliability of the Benelli inertia recoil system cannot be compared to that of gas operated shotguns. First, the Benelli systems does not have complicated linkages, weight and rings. Second, without those kinds of parts and gas to operated them, the Benelli systems does not manufacture or allow residues to build up and collect on moving parts. The clean operation of the inertia recoil system is built for performance ... not for cleaning.
Benelli is a global supplier of firearms to sport shooters, military organization and police agencies.
